However, modern advancements have led to the adoption of polymer-based supports, which offer improved selectivity and sample recovery. Four types of polymer-based resins, each designed for specific analytical needs and offering different pore sizes. These resins come in various formats, including columns, bulk resins, and guard cartridges, catering to diverse column dimensions. Notably, polymer columns exhibit stability across a wide pH range, compatibility with both aqueous and organic mobile phases, and robust thermal stability exceeding 85°C.
